Hello everyone, my name is Jason. I'm an engineer, musician, and family man passionate about technology, music production, and gaming. Originally from Stafford, Virginia, I've carved out my path in the world through dedication, self-learning, and an insatiable curiosity for all my pursuits.
I'm happily married with two wonderful daughters who inspire me every day. We reside in Pittsburgh, PA, and we love this city.

Custom Elements Runtime (CER) is an innovative open-source JavaScript library I created to simplify the process of building and managing Web Components. It allows you to build with automatically inferred strict TypeScript, zero dependencies, and a clean functional API. It is designed for speed, standards compliance, and productivity.
It is highly optimized for performance and works seamlessly across all modern browsers. CER abstracts away much of the boilerplate code typically associated with Web Components, allowing developers to focus on building features rather than wrestling with framework complexities. In my opinion, it is the best way to build Web Components today and far exceeds the capabilities of other libraries such as Skatejs or Lit.
It even includes its own extremely powerful "Tailwind CSS-like" utility-first styling system called "JIT CSS" that allows you to style your components directly within the component file using familiar class names.
You can explore the project on GitHub.
Solatro is a web application I developed that was originally a real-world card game based on strategic deck-building mechanics adapted by "TechDweeb" from Balatro. Over time, I evolved it into its own entity with more depth that includes achievements, different builds, and assorted upgrades. Its free, really nerdy, addictive, and fun.
It was built using my Custom Elements Runtime library and features a responsive design that works well on both desktop and mobile devices.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Helix Help is a pursuit that blends my passion for tech and music. It is the unofficial guide for the Line 6 HX family of products, such as the vastly popular HX Stomp.
It receives approximately a million visits annually from people worldwide. Its enduring popularity still amazes me, as I initially created it solely for my own reference.
This is a passion project inspired by my love of rock music. It is best known for the song "Believe", which was used by the Pittsburgh Pirates during AT&T SportsNet broadcasts of the 2023 MLB season.

Music is my creative outlet. When I'm not coding, or hanging out with my family, I'm in my home studio, recording tracks, experimenting with sound design, and producing original music. My setup combines digital tools and analog gear, allowing me to take advantage of the best of both worlds.
I'm a gear nerd and have compiled lists for amps, modelers, and effects that I hope you find useful.
I'm a passionate gaming enthusiast who has a deep appreciation for the evolution of gaming. From the classic systems of the past to modern marvels like the PS5 and XBOX Series X, I'm always eager to explore the rich history of gaming.
I have a particularly strong connection with game systems released during my childhood, spanning from the Nintendo Entertainment System to the Sega Dreamcast.
Technology isn't just a part of my job; it's an integral part of my lifestyle. I'm always exploring new programming languages, working on open-source projects, modifying hardware, and staying updated on cutting-edge tech innovations.
I am a Senior Software Engineer, and I do my best to transform complex frontend technical challenges into elegant solutions. Without a traditional college path, I've built my expertise over the past two decades through hands-on experience, online courses, technical conferences, and an unwavering commitment to continuous learning.
My journey demonstrates that passion, drive, and persistence are more significant factors in career success than traditional credentials. Through self-directed learning, long nights of troubleshooting, building real-world projects, and networking with fellow enthusiasts, I've successfully built my career across various pursuits.
Being a husband and father is at the heart of everything I do and is the best part of me. My two daughters bring joy and inspiration into my life, motivating me to be the best version of myself. My wife is my best friend and the best thing that ever happened to me.
Whether we're reading books, working on homework, going on a family trip, or just relaxing, every moment is a cherished memory. I do my best to slow down and appreciate the little things, because life is much too short and I want to make the most of it.
