Privacy Policy for AnalogDAW Strips
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Overview
AnalogDAW Strips is a suite of Channel, Bus and Master AUv3 audio effects and an included audition app for Mac, iPad and iPhone. This policy covers the app and its three Audio Unit extensions.
AnalogDAW Strips processes audio on your device. It does not collect or transmit personal data or audio to the developer. No account is required.
Data collection and tracking
The app and extensions do not include advertising, analytics, third-party crash reporting, telemetry services or tracking. They do not collect advertising identifiers or transmit audio, files, presets or usage information to developer-controlled servers. An internet connection is not required for audio processing or auditioning a locally available file.
The bundled privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types. Local preferences access is declared for storing app and extension settings.
Audio and files you choose
When used in a host, the effects process the audio that host supplies locally. The host controls recording, routing, exporting and project storage.
In the standalone app, you can audition a built-in signal or choose an audio file through the system file picker. The app reads the selected file on your device for playback; it does not overwrite it or upload it to the developer. The standalone player does not record microphone input or require microphone permission. If a host records audio, that host manages its own permissions.
If you select a file from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may download it to your device under its own privacy practices. Strips does not operate a developer-managed cloud storage service.
Presets, preferences and host projects
User presets and editor preferences are stored locally in the preferences store of the containing app or the particular extension. The standalone app and hosted extensions do not synchronize a shared user preset library.
Your audio host may save plug-in parameters and processor order in its project, and may synchronize, back up or share that project according to its own settings. The developer of Strips has no access to those projects through Strips. Consult your host and storage provider's privacy policies for their handling of files, cloud services and diagnostics.
You can delete a user preset through Delete Current User Preset after selecting it in the editor. Manage source audio files and saved host projects using the file tools and host that own them.
Support and this website
If you contact the developer for support, the information and attachments you choose to send are provided as part of that conversation. Strips does not silently gather or upload a support report.
This website and its contact form are separate from the app. Their practices are covered by the website privacy policy.
