Overview

Multitrack Audio Player ("the App") is an iOS application for managing and performing backing tracks. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.

The short version: Multitrack Audio Player does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All data stays on your device or in your own iCloud account — the developer never has access to it.

Data Collection

Multitrack Audio Player does not collect any personal data. The App does not:

• Collect names, email addresses, or contact information
• Track your location
• Access your contacts or calendar
• Use analytics or crash reporting services
• Transmit any data to developer-controlled servers
• Use advertising networks or third-party trackers

Data Storage

All data created within the App — including songs, tracks, markers, and routing profiles — is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard frameworks.

Backups

The App includes an optional backup feature with two options:

• iCloud Backup (primary) - Backups are stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is kept in your own private CloudKit container. The developer has no ability to access, view, or retrieve your iCloud backup data. This storage is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Local Export - You can export a backup file directly to the iOS Files app. That file is stored wherever you choose and never transmitted anywhere by the App.

No backup data is ever sent to any server controlled by the developer.

Permissions

The App does not request access to sensitive device features such as your microphone, camera, location, contacts, or media library.

To import audio files, the App uses the standard iOS document picker — a system-provided interface where you explicitly select files. The App only accesses files you choose and nothing else.

The App uses iOS's audio background mode so that playback continues when you switch to another app or lock your screen. This is a standard audio app capability and does not involve any data collection.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at jasonshimmy.com with a revised "Last updated" date.
